General Guidelines
- Name Badges: Always wear your name badge for identification and security purposes.
- Recording Policy: Personal video or audio recording during lectures is not permitted unless the presenter explicitly grants permission.
- Sales Policy: This is strictly not a sales event. You are permitted to use the last 5 minutes to talk about your offer.
Professional Conduct
- Respect: Be mindful and respectful of those around you. We are committed to providing a harassment-free environment for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, or religion.
- Demonstrations: If you volunteer for a demo, ensure you understand what is being illustrated. Presenters must obtain consent for all aspects of the demonstration. Consent must be given for each demo.
- Confidentiality: Respect client confidentiality in case discussions.
- Evidence-Based Claims: Avoid making claims about hypnosis that are not supported by evidence.
- Intellectual Property: Respect intellectual property rights and give proper credit to others' work.
Expected Behaviour
All attendees, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and staff at Hypno Summit Portugal are expected to:
- Treat all participants with respect and consideration
- Be mindful of your language and actions, and how they may impact others
- Communicate openly and thoughtfully with others and be considerate of the multitude of views and opinions that may differ from your own
- Be respectful in your critique of ideas
- Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behaviour and speech
- Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants
Unacceptable Behaviour
The following behaviours are considered unacceptable and will not be tolerated:
- Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form
- Verbal abuse of any attendee, speaker, volunteer, exhibitor, staff member, service provider, or other meeting guest
- Disruption of presentations or other events
- Inappropriate physical contact or unwelcome sexual attention
- Inappropriate use of nudity and/or sexual images in public spaces
- Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following
- Harassing photography or recording
- Sustained disruption of talks or other events
- Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behaviour
Reporting Problems
If you experience or witness any violations of this code of conduct, please report it immediately using one of the following methods:
- In Person: Bring the issue directly to the organiser or volunteers who will pass it on.
- By Email: Send a written report to support@hypnosummit.pt. This email is monitored regularly throughout the event.
All reports will be treated with confidentiality and will be promptly addressed by our dedicated response team. We are committed to providing a safe and respectful environment for all participants and will take appropriate action to address any issues that arise.
Consequences
Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the event organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event with no refund and ban from future events.
Additional Considerations
- Respect the varying levels of experience among attendees and avoid pressuring anyone into participating in demonstrations.
- Be mindful of the diverse backgrounds and experiences of attendees when discussing sensitive topics.
- There is limited time to set up for the next presenter. Please be considerate and prompt.
Scope
We expect all event participants (attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers) to abide by this code of conduct at all event venues and event-related social events.
